Pathology

    Pathology is the study (logos) of suffering (pathos). As a science, pathology focuses on the structual and functional consequences of injurious stimuli on cells, tissue, and organs and ultimately the consequences on the entire organism. To me pathology is one of the most facinating and challanging fields in medicine today. With further advances in technology and a better understanding of cellular and mollecular structure in particular genetic aspects we can understand a disease and with that we can cure the disease.

Brown University - Pre- and post-doctoral studies in pathology provide research trainig to study the basic mechanisms of disease with environmental etiologies.
Case Western Reserve University -Department of Pathology lists its affiliated and full-time faculty members, and presents the range of courses available in graduate studies.
Cornell University - Weill Medical College Dept. of Pathology gives specifics of the residency and fellowship program in anatomical pathology and laboratory medicine.
